Jericho Commission
Christ based re-entry

The Lord said to Moses: "Bring me seventy of Isreal's elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the Tent of Meeting that they may stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit that is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you carry the burden of the people so that you will not have to carry it alone." Numbers 11:16-17

Dr. Michael L. Reighard

CEO/Founder/Resource Development Administrator

Training Team Leader

In the early years of Mike’s pastoral ministry, he recognized the desperate need for prison ministry and witnessed the powerful change that inmates experience once they accept Christ. After the completion of an M. Div., he began his career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. During twenty years as a chaplain with the Bureau, he and his wife, Neda, observed the frequent return of inmates  to prison. God began moving Mike in a new direction: to establish a community re-entry program for ex-offenders. This new direction has become Jericho Commission.

James has been involved in prison ministry since 1979 (both state and federal systems). He has done substance abuse counseling since 1997. James  attended Baptist Bible College as a missions major and later completed his bachelors in psychology at Southwest Baptist University. He received his Masters in Clinical Psychology from Evangel University in 2006. He is also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor II (CSACII) and LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). This allows him to work with offenders suffering co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders. While serving those we are called to serve, James noticed that too many re-offend, relapse and reenter the penal system. It is his passion to assist those reentering society through this difficult transition, supporting them in their lives as free men, restored to their rightful place of equal partnership in the service of Christ.
